Overview We are an established residential landscape and property service company located in North Scottsdale seeking an experienced Landscape Supervisor. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in landscaping, irrigation, and plant material management who takes pride in maintaining beautiful, well-cared-for properties. The Landscape Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing daily landscaping operations, managing crew members, and ensuring high-quality grounds maintenance. This position offers significant independence and responsibility, requiring hands-on involvement and effective communication with clients. Responsibilities Lead and manage landscaping crews to ensure efficient completion of projects and daily grounds maintenance tasks Perform hands-on landscaping activities including lawn care, plant identification, and grounds upkeep Operate landscaping equipment safely and effectively to maintain properties according to company standards Oversee irrigation systems, troubleshooting issues and ensuring proper functioning for healthy landscapes Maintain a high level of outdoor work proficiency, including pruning, planting, mulching, and general landscape enhancement Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide professional guidance on landscape care Operate company vehicles responsibly for transportation between job sites Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies Take initiative in problem-solving and making independent decisions to uphold quality standards Meeting with customers and walking their properties Building strong, professional relationships with customers Inspecting properties and identifying areas that need attention Communicating customer requests and concerns to our office and crews Diagnosing irrigation problems and personally completing irrigation repairs Troubleshooting and repairing valves, drip systems, emitters, irrigation lines, and controllers Locating leaks and determining the cause of irrigation problems Identifying watering issues and making appropriate irrigation adjustments Identifying plant-health problems and determining whether irrigation may be contributing to the issue Having a strong working knowledge of Arizona and desert plant material Recommending appropriate plants based on location, sun exposure, watering needs, and existing landscape Understanding proper plant installation, including placement, irrigation, and establishment Helping oversee and, when necessary, working alongside crews on plant installations Identifying dead, declining, or improperly located plants Helping coordinate plant replacements and landscape improvements Checking the quality of work performed by our landscape crews Working with crew leads to correct problems and maintain our standards Clearly documenting needed work, materials, and property concerns for our office and crews Following through to make sure customer concerns and property issues are resolved Experience Prior outdoor work experience in landscaping or grounds maintenance is required Demonstrated knowledge of irrigation systems, plant identification, and lawn care practices Experience managing or supervising a crew Ability to operate landscaping equipment safely and efficiently Strong communication skills to interact with clients and team members effectively Valid driver's license with a clean driving record suitable for operating company vehicles This position offers an opportunity to lead a dedicated team in delivering outstanding landscape services while working outdoors in a dynamic environment.
