A Landscaping or Grounds Supervisor supervises the staff that provide landscaping for residences, parks, public gardens, college campuses or building or office park grounds. Supervises work to care for plants and trees, including mowing, trimming and planting, and work to repair driveways, walks, benches or other structures. Oversees equipment maintenance and transportation, and communicates with residential customers.

Job Description

A leading Denver/Littleton landscaping company is expanding its residential installation team. Prior landscaping experience is necessary. Our company designs and installs innovative, upper-end landscaping projects and work all over the Denver metro area. No mowing or yard maintenance. We are a small company, very passionate and proud of our industry, so providing our team with a wonderful employee experience is one of our core values. We also believe in rewarding hard work, integrity, and a strong work ethic. We expect our 24' season to be fully underway by mid to late February.
Experience and Skills Needed :
  • Must have 5 years of previous landscape install experience as a lead, or asst lead.
  • Must be able to follow direction and have good communication skills.
  • Must have ability to safely work with gas powered equipment.
  • Drivers must have a clean driving record.
  • Drivers must be able to drive company truck with attached trailer to various job locations
  • Must be responsible and show initiative.
  • Stand and walk for long periods of time and work in all weather conditions.
  • Bi-lingual in English/Spanish a plus.
  • Please be ready to present a portfolio of you past work.
Lead Landscape Responsibilities:

Supervision :
Oversee and manage the daily activities of landscaping crews. 2.
Planning and Scheduling:
Coordinate tasks, schedules, and resources to ensure efficient project completion. 3.
Team Leadership:
Provide direction, guidance, and support to team members. 4.
Equipment Maintenance:
Ensure proper maintenance and operation of landscaping tools and machinery. 5.
Quality Control:
Maintain high standards of workmanship and ensure adherence to project specifications. 6.
Safety Compliance:
Enforce safety regulations and protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all crew members. 7.
Client Interaction:
Communicate with clients to understand their requirements and address any concerns or questions. 8.
Material Management:
Procure, handle, and manage materials required for landscaping projects. 9.
Problem Solving:
Resolve issues and conflicts that may arise during project execution. 10.
Documentation:
Keep accurate records of work progress, materials used, and labor hours. 11.
Training and Development:
Train new crew members and provide ongoing development opportunities for existing staff. 12.
Budget Management:
Assist in budget planning and monitor expenses to ensure projects remain within budgetary constraints. 13.
Landscaping Expertise:
Demonstrate proficiency in various landscaping techniques, including planting, irrigation, hardscaping, and maintenance.
License/Certification :
  • Valid Driver's License and clean driving record
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States (required)

Pay :
For all team members, pay will be commensurate on experience.
