Position Summary The Landscape Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily landscape maintenance operations, supervising landscape crew, and ensuring assigned properties are maintained to company standards. This position will coordinate a 4 man crew, inspect completed work, communicate with customers and management, and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule. The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, knowledgeable in landscape maintenance, and comfortable working alongside and directing a team. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate daily activities of landscape maintenance crews. Assign daily work and ensure crews have the necessary tools, equipment, and materials. Inspect properties and completed work to ensure company quality standards are met. Ensure scheduled services are completed accurately and on time. Perform and oversee landscape maintenance, including: Mowing, edging, trimming, and blowing. Pruning and shaping trees, shrubs, hedges, and groundcover. Removal of leaves, dead fronds, and other landscape debris. Weed control and general landscape cleanup. Fertilization and treatment of plant material as directed. Installation and maintenance of plants and groundcover. Irrigation inspection and identification of irrigation issues. Identify landscape problems, damaged plant material, irrigation issues, pests, weeds, and other maintenance concerns. Report landscape repairs, additional work, and property deficiencies to management. Communicate professionally with property managers, customers, tenants, and company management. Respond to customer concerns and assist with resolving service issues. Train and coach landscape employees on proper maintenance techniques, safety procedures, and company expectations. Monitor employee attendance, productivity, work quality, and performance. Ensure employees properly operate, maintain, and secure company equipment and vehicles. Inspect equipment and report maintenance or repair needs. Maintain an organized inventory of tools, equipment, chemicals, and supplies. Ensure proper handling, storage, and use of fertilizers, herbicides, pesticides, and other landscape chemicals. Follow all applicable safety requirements and company policies. Maintain accurate daily work records, property notes, and service documentation. Assist management with scheduling, estimating, property inspections, and special projects as needed. Perform landscape maintenance duties alongside the crew when necessary. Other duties as assigned. Leadership & Supervision The Landscape Supervisor is expected to lead by example and maintain a professional and productive work environment. The Supervisor is responsible for ensuring employees understand their assignments and that work is completed correctly, safely, and efficiently. The Supervisor should be able to identify when a job is not being completed to company standards and take appropriate corrective action. Qualifications Previous experience in commercial landscape maintenance or a related field. Previous crew-lead or supervisory experience preferred. Knowledge of landscape maintenance practices, plants, trees, shrubs, and groundcover. Ability to operate common landscaping equipment. Ability to identify common landscape pests, weeds, and plant health issues. Knowledge of irrigation systems and basic irrigation troubleshooting preferred. Ability to read and follow work schedules and property specifications. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the field. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to perform physical work, including lifting, bending, walking, standing, and operating landscape equipment. Preferred Qualifications Pesticide/herbicide applicator certification or willingness to obtain certification. Irrigation experience. Experience supervising commercial landscape maintenance crews. Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills are a plus. Knowledge of Hawaiian landscaping and tropical plant material is a plus. Represent the company professionally when interacting with customers and property managers.

Compensation & Benefits Pay:

$30-$35 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Additional Compensation:

Supervisors who demonstrate strong leadership, reliability, productivity, and quality of work may be eligible for performance-based pay increases and additional compensation opportunities. Physical Requirements This position requires the ability to perform physical landscape maintenance work, including prolonged periods of standing and walking, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, climbing, and operating power equipment. The employee may be required to lift and carry materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. Work Environment This position is primarily outdoors and may involve exposure to heat, rain, wind, dust, noise, landscaping chemicals, and other outdoor conditions.
