Job Overview Assistant Golf Course Superintendent Money Hill Country Club | Private Club Money Hill Country Club is seeking a motivated and dependable Assistant Golf Course Superintendent to join our golf course maintenance team. Position Overview The Assistant Golf Course Superintendent will work closely with the Golf Course Superintendent in the daily operation and maintenance of the golf course and grounds. The successful candidate will help lead the maintenance team, coordinate daily assignments, participate in agronomic programs, and ensure the golf course is consistently prepared to the high standards expected at a private country club. This is a hands-on leadership position. The Assistant Superintendent will be expected to lead by example while developing the technical, agronomic, and management skills necessary for advancement in the golf course industry. Key Responsibilities Assist the Golf Course Superintendent with daily golf course maintenance and conditioning. Help plan, organize, and supervise daily staff assignments. Participate in mowing, course setup, irrigation, cultural practices, and other turf maintenance operations. Assist with fertilizer and plant-protectant applications and maintain accurate application records. Monitor turfgrass health, playing conditions, moisture levels, pests, diseases, and environmental stresses. Assist with operation, troubleshooting, and repair of the irrigation system. Train and supervise golf course maintenance employees and promote safe, efficient work practices. Assist with tournament preparation and special projects. Communicate course conditions, maintenance needs, and potential issues to the Golf Course Superintendent. Help maintain a positive, professional, team-oriented culture within the maintenance department. Qualifications The ideal candidate will have education and/or practical experience in turfgrass management, golf course maintenance, horticulture, agronomy, or a related field. Previous golf course experience is preferred, although motivated candidates with a strong desire to build a career in the industry are encouraged to apply. Candidates should possess strong communication and organizational skills, a willingness to learn, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. The position requires availability for early mornings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours when golf course conditions or special events require them. A valid driver's license is required. A pesticide applicator's license is preferred, or the successful candidate should be willing and able to obtain one.
