Job Overview The Maintenance Coordinator is the on-site leader for Mangold's Waverly Turf & Garden crews, and they spend the majority of their time in the field alongside those crews. That means mowing, fertilizing, weeding, pruning, installing annuals and seasonal plantings, and plowing and shoveling in winter — whatever it takes to get the work done at the standard Mangold clients expect across both divisions. At the same time, this person is the organizational anchor of the Waverly operation. They make sure the crews are set up to succeed each day — routes built, time and materials logged, quality checked, and client issues handled before they become problems. They are the connective tissue between the field teams, the Turf and Garden Operations Managers in Jordan, and the clients they serve. This is Waverly's anchor — the person who keeps both sides of the operation organized, on schedule, and performing Responsibilities Field Production — Working Alongside the Crews Mow, edge, trim, and perform turf maintenance at Mangold's quality standard alongside the Waverly crews Install and maintain annual and seasonal plantings — spring color, summer rotations, fall installations — alongside fertilizer and turf treatment applications. Both halves of the maintenance calendar are yours. Perform mulch applications, bed edging, plant material care, and irrigation checks on the garden side — and spreader work, sprayer applications, and turf prep on the turf side. You are fluent in both. Plow driveways and parking areas, shovel walks, and apply ice management products during the winter season — in winter, all Waverly crews operate together under your coordination Step in wherever the crew needs support to get the day's work done right Quality Control & Client Service — In the Field Drive routes to check on crew progress and verify work meets Mangold's quality standard before leaving a property Respond to client concerns and complaints in the field across both turf and garden accounts — you are Mangold's face at Waverly for all maintenance clients Train new crew members on Mangold's service standards, safety practices, and proper techniques Identify and communicate property issues, irrigation problems, plant health concerns, or scope changes before they escalate to the Jordan operations managers Coordinate daily across both turf and garden crews — you own the Waverly operation holistically, not just one side of it Daily Coordination & Office Responsibilities Complete daily time entry and material entry in Aspire for all Waverly turf crews — accuracy and timeliness are essential Build and organize next-day crew routes — ensure each crew has a logical, efficient schedule before they leave for the day Communicate with the sales team regarding new client onboarding — confirm scope, first-service timing, and any property-specific details Flag any scheduling conflicts, equipment issues, or crew concerns to the Turf and Garden Operations Managers in Jordan — communicate clearly with both Keep the Waverly yard organized, equipment maintained, and morning rollout running smoothly Qualifications 2+ years of experience in landscape maintenance — with exposure to both turf and garden work. You don't need to be an expert in both, but you need to be competent in one and genuinely familiar with the other Experience operating mowing equipment AND familiarity with garden maintenance work — weeding, pruning, and planting. A strong turf background with garden exposure, or vice versa, both work Snow removal experience — plowing and hand shoveling in a commercial or residential setting Prior experience coordinating or leading crews is a strong plus — this person runs the Waverly satellite with limited on-site oversight from Jordan Familiarity with scheduling or field management software is helpful but not required — full Aspire training is provided Valid driver's license and clean driving record — you will be operating company vehicles Ability to work outdoors in all Minnesota weather conditions year-round Strong organizational and communication skills are a must Physical ability to perform landscape maintenance and snow removal work Reliability and punctuality are needed Basic computer and mobile device proficiency for time entry and scheduling Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not requiredJoin us at Mangold Horticulture to play a crucial role in maintaining our landscape operations while leading a dedicated team committed to excellence.
