Permanent About the Role Our client, an Good-rated day nursery, is seeking a passionate, dedicated, and qualified Early Years Room Leader to join their growing team. This is a unique opportunity offering excellent work-life balance, working 3 to 4 days per week from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. In this position, you will manage the daily operations of your designated room, leading a team of practitioners to deliver a stimulating, safe, and nurturing environment where children can flourish.
Key Responsibilities Room Leadership:
Oversee daily operations, ensure high standards of care, and manage room staff, apprentices, and assistants effectively.
EYFS Delivery:
Design and implement an engaging, child-led curriculum aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
Staff Mentorship:
Guide, support, and supervise room staff, fostering a collaborative and positive team culture.
Key Person Duties:
Maintain accurate developmental records, conduct child observations, and track individual learning progress.
Parent Partnerships:
Build strong, open relationships with parents and caregivers through regular face-to-face updates and digital platforms.
Safeguarding & Health:
Ensure strict compliance with safeguarding, health & safety, and Ofsted statutory requirements.
Requirements & Qualifications Qualifications:
Essential - Must hold a minimum Level 3 Early Years / Childcare qualification (or equivalent full and relevant UK standard).
Experience:
At least 1-2 years of experience working in a
Nursery Knowledge:
Deep operational knowledge of the EYFS framework, planning, and safeguarding policies.
Background Check:
