Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Landscape Maintenance Supervisor to oversee a commercial landscape maintenance crew and ensure properties are serviced safely, efficiently, and to company quality standards. This is a hands-on leadership position. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of the landscape maintenance industry, knows how to lead and motivate a crew, can identify quality issues in the field, and is comfortable operating landscape equipment and driving a truck with a trailer. Responsibilities Arrive at the yard each morning prepared to organize the crew and workday. Gather necessary daily supplies before departure, including water, 2-stroke oil, fuel, equipment, tools, and other essentials. Have the crew organized and ready to leave the yard by 6:30 AM . Drive a company landscape truck and/or truck with a landscape trailer to assigned commercial properties. Supervise and work alongside crew members throughout the day. Assign responsibilities and keep crew members productive and on schedule. Ensure mowing, edging, string trimming, blowing, shrub trimming, and other maintenance work meets company standards. Train and develop crew members on proper techniques, equipment operation, efficiency, and safety. Build a strong team environment while holding crew members accountable for performance. Inspect properties before leaving to ensure work is complete and meets quality expectations. Maintain and inspect equipment and report damaged or malfunctioning equipment. Communicate property issues, irrigation concerns, damage, safety hazards, and additional work opportunities to management. Ensure company vehicles, trailers, equipment, and tools are properly cared for. Follow assigned routes and communicate any delays or issues that could affect the day's schedule. Requirements 3+ years of professional landscape maintenance experience required. 1+ year of supervisory, crew leader, or landscape management experience required. Strong knowledge of commercial landscape maintenance practices and equipment. Proven team-building and team-management abilities. Ability to lead, train, motivate, and hold crew members accountable. Valid driver's license with a good driving record. Experience driving a truck with a landscape trailer and/or commercial landscape truck. Experience operating commercial mowers, string trimmers, edgers, blowers, hedge trimmers, and other landscape equipment. Ability to work outdoors in Texas weather conditions. Ability to perform the physical requirements of commercial landscape maintenance. Dependable, punctual, organized, and able to communicate effectively with management and crew members. You will be responsible for leading the crew, maintaining quality, improving efficiency, developing your team, and taking ownership of the properties assigned to you. The right candidate should be able to look at a property, recognize what needs attention, organize the crew accordingly, and make sure the job is completed correctly before moving to the next property.
Pay:
$22.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
