  • Full-time Irrigation Manager Position Summary The Irrigation Manager is responsible for leading and managing the irrigation operations within an assigned territory.
This position oversees Irrigation Technicians, ensures high-quality service delivery, drives irrigation repair and improvement revenue, and supports client retention through proactive water management and irrigation system performance. The Irrigation Manager serves as the subject matter expert for irrigation systems and is responsible for maintaining irrigation quality standards, technician development, operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and profitability throughout the territory.

Irrigation Technicians Irrigation Crew Leaders (if applicable) Essential Duties & Responsibilities Irrigation Operations Management Lead and manage daily irrigation operations within the assigned territory. Schedule and coordinate irrigation inspections, repairs, audits, and service requests. Ensure irrigation work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to company quality standards. Monitor workload distribution and technician productivity. Ensure timely response to customer irrigation concerns and service requests. Team Leadership & Development Supervise, coach, and develop Irrigation Technicians. Conduct ride-alongs, field training, and performance evaluations. Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support. Support recruiting, onboarding, and retention of irrigation personnel. Foster a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement. Irrigation Repair & Revenue Growth Identify irrigation repair opportunities and system improvements. Prepare or review irrigation repair estimates and proposals. Partner with Account Managers to communicate recommendations and solutions to clients. Drive irrigation repair sales and revenue growth within the territory. Monitor project profitability and job costing performance. Water Management & System Performance Conduct irrigation system audits and performance evaluations. Monitor water usage and identify opportunities for conservation and efficiency improvements. Ensure irrigation systems operate effectively and support healthy landscapes. Recommend upgrades, renovations, and smart irrigation technologies when appropriate. Quality Assurance Perform routine quality inspections of irrigation work. Ensure repairs are completed correctly and meet company standards. Investigate recurring irrigation issues and implement corrective actions. Maintain accurate irrigation documentation and service records. Safety & Compliance Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and procedures. Promote safe operation of equipment and vehicles. Maintain compliance with applicable irrigation regulations and licensing requirements. Investigate and document accidents, incidents, and property damage when necessary. Communication & Customer Service Work closely with Branch Managers, Account Managers, Production Managers, and clients. Assist with customer meetings involving irrigation concerns or recommendations. Communicate project schedules, repair timelines, and service updates. Support client retention through proactive communication and service excellence. Qualifications Required Texas Irrigator License 5+ years of commercial irrigation experience. Strong knowledge of irrigation system troubleshooting, repairs, and diagnostics. Experience leading teams or supervising field personnel. Strong organizational and communication skills. Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record. Preferred Bilingual (English/Spanish). Experience with commercial landscape maintenance operations. Experience estimating irrigation repairs and renovation projects. Knowledge of smart controllers, central control systems, and water management technology. Experience using Aspire or similar landscape management software.
