Job Description

Job Summary Livery Landscaping is looking for an experienced and dependable Landscape Crew Leader / Landscape Foreman to join our growing team. This is a hands-on leadership position for an experienced landscaping professional who can take ownership of day-to-day field operations and lead a small crew. The Crew Leader / Foreman will work alongside a Landscape Laborer, provide direction and training, and be responsible for making sure assigned jobs are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. The right person should be confident working independently, able to think through problems in the field, and comfortable making decisions when unexpected issues come up. Strong communication, leadership, and teaching skills are important, as this person will be responsible for helping less-experienced crew members learn proper techniques and understand how to complete work correctly. Responsibilities may include leading and performing: Lawn maintenance, including mowing, edging, trimming, and blowing Paver and hardscape projects Leaf and debris cleanup Brush and overgrowth removal Landscape installations Landscape bed preparation and construction Plant selection, planting, and installation Mulch and rock installation Landscape renovations and property improvements Loading, unloading, and organizing materials and equipment Maintaining and properly operating landscaping equipment Reviewing completed work to ensure quality and attention to detail Communicating job progress, material needs, and issues with the owner Identifying problems on the job site and developing practical solutions Directing, teaching, and working alongside the Landscape Laborer What We're Looking For Several years of hands-on landscaping experience Previous crew leadership or supervisory experience is strongly preferred Strong understanding of general landscaping practices and techniques Able to confidently lead a small crew and keep work moving efficiently Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills Good teacher who can demonstrate tasks and help less-experienced employees develop their skills Excellent communication and teamwork skills Reliable, punctual, and willing to take responsibility for the work being performed Strong work ethic and positive attitude Able to work independently with minimal supervision Takes pride in quality workmanship and pays attention to detail Comfortable performing physically demanding work outdoors throughout the day Able to properly operate, maintain, and care for landscaping equipment Willing to take initiative and help find solutions rather than waiting for someone else to solve every problem Valid driver's license required Growth Opportunities This position is intended for someone who wants to grow with the company and take on increasing responsibility over time.
