A Landscaping or Grounds Supervisor supervises the staff that provide landscaping for residences, parks, public gardens, college campuses or building or office park grounds. Supervises work to care for plants and trees, including mowing, trimming and planting, and work to repair driveways, walks, benches or other structures. Oversees equipment maintenance and transportation, and communicates with residential customers.
Responsible for installation and management of landscape projects, overseeing crews of workers and coordinating their efforts to ensure proper maintenance of the grounds and use of equipment under their care.
ESSENTIAL ELEMENTS
Direct activities on the job site including coordination of workflow, hands on work, and operating of machinery. Manage personnel effectively and efficiently. Communicate production goals with crew members and clients. Monitor all tools, equipment and machinery for needed maintenance. Track and record all job expenses, including but not exclusively materials and hours worked. Maintain a clean and safe job site at all times. Supervise and manage landscape crew. Ensure all crew members utilize all required personal protective equipment (PPE). Ensure that all installation work is performed in accordance with industry and company standards. Follow direction from Account Manager. Ensure that all safety rules and company safety policies are adhered to. Communicates well with all crew members, supervisor, and clientele. Strives to improve job skills and develop the potential for upward mobility. Monitors all tools, equipment, and machinery for needed maintenance. Track and record all job expenses and hours worked accurately. Maintain a clean and safe job site. Trains crew members on the development of best practices of installation in company standards. Perform manual and equipment-based activities to delivery seasonally appropriate landscape services to Greenscape OQMS standards.
SECONDARY ELEMENTS

REQUIREMENTS
3+ years landscape industry experience. Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Proficient equipment operating skills. Driver's license with DOT Card and reputable driving record. Knowledge of perennials shrubs evergreens, and trees. Highly motivated, self-driven individual who is detail oriented. Verbal & written communication skills. Time Management skills and ability to work long hours. Ability to prioritize and multitask. Clean and Professional appearance. Punctual and dependable. Bilingual (Spanish/Portuguese) a plus.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a routine basis. Ability to bend and stoop on a continual basis. Ability to work outside in all weather conditions. Ability to work around bees, poison ivy, pollen, thorns and other environmental risks. Ability to follow verbal instructions from Foreman or Crew Leader. Must practice safety with chemicals and equipment. Must wear company eye and ear protection as required. Valid Driver's license required. Must be able to pass a criminal background check. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, sit, walk, talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally assist with lifting and/or moving up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Regular, predictable attendance is required.
