A Landscaping or Grounds Supervisor supervises the staff that provide landscaping for residences, parks, public gardens, college campuses or building or office park grounds. Supervises work to care for plants and trees, including mowing, trimming and planting, and work to repair driveways, walks, benches or other structures. Oversees equipment maintenance and transportation, and communicates with residential customers.

Job Description
This position works in the field alongside crew members while providing job training and support to maintain high productivity and efficiency. The Crew Supervisor is responsible for the safety of the crew and for the safe operation of landscaping vehicles and equipment.
Essential Job Duties:
Quality Control of Job Site- Perform all job tasks strictly in accordance with specific requirements in the contract Statement of Work.
- Conduct daily, routine, and before and after inspections of the work site.
- Complete Job site quality control checklists and reports.
- Identify and report insect and disease issues, turf and tree stress.
- Customer Communication - proactively address questions or issues and suggest improvements. Employee Supervision
- Work with people with disabilities.
- Oversee proper safety equipment and Personal Protective Equipment usage and practices of crew.
- Conduct "on the job" training and assist crew in completion of required tasks as necessary.
- Prioritize the day's work list and assign duties to crew members.
- Begin to develop working knowledge of production planning and scheduling daily jobs of their crew. Administrative Duties
- Complete timesheets, Vehicle Inspection Reports, and inventory (chemicals and equipment).
- Immediately report accidents or injuries to management and complete required paperwork. Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on equipment
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness.
- Other duties when assigned.

Ability to work independently under pressure and prioritize and manage multiple tasks for the team. Able to communicate in a respectful manner to crew (including people with disabilities). Communicate and coordinate with customers as necessary and respond to questions or concerns. Ability to read and interpret documents, publications, reports, and procedure manuals. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to problem solve and pay attention to detail. Take initiative and make decisions based upon company purpose, mission, and values.Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED (Preferred)
- Previous landscaping crew supervisory experience (Preferred)
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:
- Valid Washington State Driver License
- Ability to pass a five (5) year Driving Record Check in alignment with AtWork!'s policies
- Ability to pass a DSHS Background Check in alignment with AtWork!
