Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Landscape Laborer and play a vital role in creating and maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces! This energetic position offers the opportunity to work outdoors, applying your skills in landscape maintenance, groundskeeping, and hardscape installation. You'll be instrumental in ensuring our landscapes are healthy, vibrant, and visually appealing by performing a variety of hands-on tasks. This paid position is perfect for motivated individuals eager to develop their expertise in horticulture, equipment operation, and outdoor project execution while contributing to community beautification projects. Duties Assist with landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, pruning, and edging to keep grounds pristine and healthy Operate hand tools and power equipment including trimmers, blowers, lawnmowers, and hedge cutters safely and efficiently Support planting activities by identifying plants, installing new greenery, and maintaining existing flora with proper care techniques Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and troubleshoot issues as needed Perform hardscape installations such as setting pavers or retaining walls, ensuring structural integrity and aesthetic appeal Conduct grounds maintenance including snow plowing during winter months to keep pathways safe and accessible Follow safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents and ensure a secure work environment at all times Requirements Prior outdoor work experience or background in landscaping or groundskeeping is highly preferred Basic mechanical knowledge for operating various landscaping equipment and tools Familiarity with plant identification, horticulture principles, and pesticide management practices Ability to operate grounds maintenance equipment such as lawnmowers, trimmers, blowers, and irrigation systems confidently Knowledge of safety procedures related to power tools and outdoor work environments Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions throughout the year This role offers an exciting chance to develop your skills in landscaping while contributing to the beauty of outdoor spaces.
