• 25/hour, depending on experience | Approximately 8-12 hours per week | Flexible schedule Our Montessori school is seeking an experienced, dependable part-time Groundskeeper/Landscaper to care for the outdoor spaces across our four neighboring school properties.

Our outdoor environments are an important part of our school. We have established trees, lawns, gardens, shrubs, fruit trees, and many other planted areas that require regular attention—not simply periodic mowing and cleanup. We are looking for someone who will take pride in caring for the properties and help us keep our landscape healthy, beautiful, and well maintained throughout the year. Responsibilities Regularly inspect sprinkler and drip irrigation systems to identify leaks, broken lines or emitters, and areas that are not receiving adequate water Repair and maintain irrigation systems and adjust watering as needed Monitor trees, shrubs, lawns, and other plants for signs of stress or problems Mow, edge, and provide general lawn care Prune and maintain shrubs and smaller trees Weed and maintain planted areas Blow and clean outdoor areas to keep the grounds tidy and inviting Identify landscape issues before they become larger problems Assist with planting and other landscape improvement projects as needed Help maintain safe, attractive, and inviting outdoor spaces for our children and school community Qualifications Previous landscaping or groundskeeping experience Good working knowledge of sprinkler and drip irrigation systems Understanding of the watering needs of plants and trees in the Arizona climate Ability to recognize signs that trees or plants are stressed or not receiving adequate water Ability to safely operate common landscaping equipment Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently Able to notice what needs attention without needing a detailed task list each visit Attention to detail and pride in maintaining healthy, beautiful outdoor spaces Must be able to obtain an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card as a condition of employment. Applicants who do not currently have a card are welcome to apply; the school will assist with the process. Schedule & Pay This is a part-time employee position of approximately 8-12 hours per week. The schedule is flexible, and days and hours can generally be arranged around the employee's availability and the needs of the school. Pay is $20
