Working under the guidance of the Facilities Manager, Performs routine facilities maintenance duties such as painting, plumbing, landscaping, and other related assignments.

up to 35 days per year- based on years of service and hours worked

Paid Sick Leave:

Key Responsibilities:

Performs routine preventative maintenance on equipment. Performs non-routine repairs to equipment. Uses tools and operates equipment needed to perform job functions; equipment includes power tools, forklifts, scissors lift, and floor scrubbers. Assists with cleaning trucks, equipment, and grounds. Assists with moving furniture and equipment.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent, such as GED, required. A California valid drivers' license. Preferred 1 to 2 years of progressively responsible experience in building and grounds maintenance. Ability to understand and interpret instructional manuals containing schematic drawings. Ability to read a ruler and blueprint schematics. Ability to use a wide variety of hand tools and repair equipment. Basic understanding of construction methods and mechanical devices. Ability to learn and comply with governmental regulations Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.

Physical Requirements:

The essential functions of this position require the ability to: Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions Frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces Push and pull objects, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise.
