Endodontist - Central San Diego / Chula Vista (Eastlake Neighborhood) About the

Role:

We is looking for a board-certified Endodontist to join our group practice in Central San Diego and Chula Vista (Eastlake). You'll walk into established practices with a steady flow of referrals, experienced long-time staff, and modern technology.

Compensation:

Monthly Commission:

55% of Net Production ($10K - $15K of Production Potential per Day) Sharing of materials and supplies Daily minimums

Schedule:

1-2 days / month at each of 4-5 sizeable, busy, long-standing general dentistry practices.

Required Qualifications & Skills Education:

Doctor of Dental Surgery ( DDS ) or Doctor of Dental Medicine ( DMD ) from an accredited dental school.

Specialty Training:

Completion of an ADA-accredited advanced specialty education program in Endodontics (Certificate/MS).

Licensure:

Active, unrestricted license to practice dentistry in the practicing state, or eligibility to obtain one.

Certifications:

Active DEA registration and state controlled-substance license for prescribing medication; current BLS/CPR certification (ACLS preferred).

Technical Proficiency:

Expert-level mastery of the dental operating microscope, digital radiography, apex locators, and rotary endodontic instrumentation.

Ability to put anxious patients at ease and explain complex procedures in simple, reassuring terms.

Precision and Focus:

Exceptional manual dexterity, spatial awareness, and stamina for performing micro-surgical procedures.

Team-Oriented Mindset:

Strong communication skills to foster trust with referring offices and coordinate efficiently with dental assistants and office staff.

Specialized Treatments:

Perform routine and complex root canal therapies , endodontic retreatments, apexifications, and pulpotomies with high precision.

Surgical Endodontics:

Execute endodontic microsurgery, including apicoectomies , root resections, and repair of periapical lesions.

Trauma Management:

Diagnose and treat traumatic dental injuries, including avulsed, fractured, or luxated teeth.

Patient Comfort & Pain Management:

Administer local anesthetics and optional conscious sedation (oral/nitrous oxide) safely; manage patient anxiety and acute dental pain effectively.

Collaborative Care:

Formulate comprehensive treatment plans and coordinate closely with referring general dentists to ensure proper post-endodontic restorative care.

Documentation & Compliance:

Maintain accurate, highly detailed electronic health records (EHR) and clinical notes in accordance with HIPAA regulations and state dental board standards.
