Grounds Person - Laborer- Chainsaw Experience Required | Northern California Looking for hands-on work in the forestry industry? J.W. Bamford is hiring a Grounds Person - Laborer with Chain Saw Experience to support forestry and logging operations throughout Northern California. If you're safety-minded, dependable, and enjoy working outdoors, we want to hear from you! What You'll Do Perform selective tree thinning and site preparation Cut, sort, stack, load, and grade felled timber Assist with chainsaw and forestry-related work Inspect and maintain equipment throughout the workday Identify and report equipment issues and job-site hazards Keep equipment and work areas clean, organized, and safe Work safely around heavy equipment, utilities, uneven terrain, and changing weather conditions Travel to project sites throughout Northern California What We're Looking For 1-3 years of forestry or construction labor experience Chainsaw experience 1 year Mechanical knowledge preferred Able to stay out of town on project site with limited cell phone signals 5 days a week Valid driver's license and clean 5-year driving record Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform strenuous outdoor work Strong work ethic, reliability, teamwork, and commitment to safety Must pass a pre-employment drug screen Veterans are encouraged to apply Location & Schedule Full-time position with travel to project sites throughout Northern California, Monday-Friday , with occasional Saturdays based on business needs.
