Overview Join our dynamic team as a Part-Time Landscape Maintenance Technician and play a vital role in creating and maintaining beautiful outdoor environments. Whether you're trimming trees, mowing lawns, or managing irrigation systems, your efforts will directly contribute to vibrant, healthy landscapes that inspire and delight. Responsibilities Operate grounds maintenance equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and power tools to perform lawn care, pruning, edging, and debris removal. Maintain landscape features including flower beds, shrubbery, trees, hardscapes, and irrigation systems with precision and care. Identify different plant species and assess their health; apply appropriate horticultural practices for plant care and pest management. Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules; troubleshoot issues and perform routine system maintenance. Conduct safety protocol adherence during all outdoor work activities to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and team members. Assist with seasonal tasks such as snow plowing or winterizing landscapes when applicable. Use hand tools and grounds maintenance equipment responsibly, following operational guidelines to maximize efficiency and safety. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience operating landscaping and grounds maintenance equipment. Extensive knowledge of landscape maintenance techniques, including mowing, pruning, planting, and hardscape upkeep. Familiarity with plant identification, horticulture principles, and pesticide management practices. Experience working outdoors in various weather conditions with a focus on safety protocol adherence. Ability to operate irrigation systems, power tools, excavators, and other groundskeeping machinery confidently. Knowledge of tree care practices such as trimming and pruning to promote healthy growth. Excellent gardening skills with an eye for detail in maintaining pristine landscapes.
