A Landscaping or Groundskeeping Worker provides landscaping for residences, parks, public gardens, college campuses or building or office park grounds. Provides care for plants and trees including mowing, trimming and planting, and repairs driveways, walks, benches or other structures.
October 1, 2024 The Landscaper will be responsible for the routine maintenance of the grounds and their utility requirements.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain all lawn areas by mowing, weed eating, and edging. Maintain all exterior trash receptacles. Properly depose all exterior trash and debris. Prune and trim trees and shrubs as needed. Cleans road gutters, culverts, and other water drainage structures. Maintain and repair the sprinkler system and equipment. Perform weekly inspections as outlined on all equipment and systems. Report any major repair needs or requests for tools and supplies immediately. Must attend and be certified in all applicable training programs required. All other departmental duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age. Minimum one (1) year experience and background in landscaping or related field. Knowledge and use of all hand tools, manual tools, and power tools. Ability to communicate effectively. If driving is required for company business, must have a valid driver's license, and be insurable through the casino's insurance carrier. Able to obtain and retain a gaming license through the Tule River Tribe Gaming Commission.
PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL
While performing duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. Required to reach with hands and arms and to climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, and walking on slippery surfaces. Must be able to perform in outdoor environments with frequent exposure to unpredictable weather conditions including heat, rain, cold, and wind. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Exposed to water and planting materials, including fertilizer, daily. Must be able to perform the essential duties of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
