Position Summary The Gardener is responsible for performing routine landscape maintenance tasks to ensure properties are clean, safe, and maintained to high-quality standards. This role works as part of a team under the direction of a Crew Lead and plays a key role in delivering consistent, professional service to clients. Major Job Responsibilities Landscape Maintenance Perform mowing, edging, trimming, blowing, and general grounds maintenance. Prune shrubs, trees, and plants as directed. Remove weeds and apply treatments as needed. Maintain cleanliness of walkways, parking lots, and common areas. Report property damage to Foreman or Lead Person. Help crew load and unload equipment at the job site. Assist with seasonal tasks such as leaf removal, mulching, and clean-ups. Quality & Attention to Detail Ensure all work meets company quality standards before leaving each property. Take pride in maintaining neat, clean, and professional-looking landscapes. Report any property issues, damages, or enhancement opportunities to Crew Lead. Safety & Equipment Use Operate landscaping equipment safely and responsibly. Assist with daily equipment checks and basic maintenance. Report damaged or malfunctioning equipment immediately. Learn the proper loading and unloading of equipment. Attend/participate in company orientation program before performing any work. Learn to adhere to all company safety rules/policies. Must use appropriate safety equipment when necessary. Work effectively as part of a team to complete assigned tasks. Follow instructions from Crew Lead and management. Maintain a positive attitude and professional behavior on job sites. Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
