POSITION SUMMARY

This Facilities and Grounds position is responsible for assisting in the maintenance, grounds and custodial needs of school's facilities and property. This position reports to the Director of Facilities and is required to work with the maintenance team, grounds crew, event staff, janitorial services, subcontractors and school personnel.

ASSOCIATED RESPONSIBILITIES

This position is responsible for helping to maintain the campus facilities and assisting in the general campus grounds maintenance. The maintenance duties include minor electrical repairs, HVAC repairs, painting, minor repairs, event set-up and break-down, responding to clean-up requests, completing a variety of work orders, daily lunch set-up and break-down, traffic duty and assisting with vehicle upkeep. The grounds duties include weeding, grass mowing, mulching and other assorted duties. Additionally, this position is required to help with the custodial duties including stocking bathroom products, cleaning restrooms when needed. Completes other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED AND PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCES, AND SKILLS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

The position requires:

Prior experience working in completing a variety of work orders. Demonstrated initiative in handling multiple priorities, and good time management skills. Ability to interact effectively with others, and work in a team environment as well as independently. Flexibility with schedule, and willingness to work weekends when required. A professional work ethic, including willingness to take initiative and responsibility, and discretion in holding personal and business-sensitive information in confidence. Professional experience in an educational setting is favored. Anticipated compensation - $31.00 - $39.00 Based on experience and qualifications. The position will begin October 2026.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT

Required to lift and carry up to a maximum of 25 lbs., in a correct manner consistent with the appropriate training provided by the School. Occasionally required to use hand to handle or feel objects, touch and use tools, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, bend, stoop, twist, lift, reach, push, pull, grasp, balance, kneel, crouch, crawl, grasp, talk, hear, and walk during the course of employment. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and an ability to adjust focus. May use telephone, computer, copier, and other office equipment in the course of a day.
