JOB SUMMARY
Performs a variety of duties ranging from operating golf course and landscape maintenance equipment, golf course and landscape maintenance tasks to semi-skilled grounds construction and maintenance. Must have some relevant experience.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Performs course set-up duties to include setting tee markers and cups, moving ropes and signs, maintaining ball washers, tee boxes, brushes, sand/seed containers, and cleans flower beds. 2. Operates tri-plex mowers on greens and around playing surfaces. 3. Mows tees, collars, fairways and banks, operates push mowers, string trimmers, edgers and sand bunker rake. 4. Water and fertilize greens and other turf surfaces and areas. 5. Operate cultural equipment including aerators, turf sweeper, verti-cutters, and seeders. 6. Mows and edges landscape common area lawns. Trims hedges, bushes and trees in common area landscapes. 7. Assists in landscape projects, including complete landscape removals and site preparation and new plantings. 8. Performs basic preventative maintenance on equipment following instruction from GC Equipment Manager. 9. Follow all State and Federal safety laws and regulations. Follow all safety rules.
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Assist in training other employees. 2. Pick up trash and debris on golf course and community landscape common areas. 3. Other duties as required.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Good verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Basic mechanical and hand-eye coordination skills. Knowledge of methods and materials used in golf course maintenance. Familiarity with small golf course equipment.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Constant outside exposure to wind, rain, cold and extreme heat and humidity. Able to kneel, stoop, bend, push, pull, lift, carry and move objects weighing up to 75 pounds. Able to stand for long periods of time. The noise level in the environment is usually moderate.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
1. Valid driver's license. 2. Able to follow verbal and written instructions. 3. Some relevant experience.
