Groundskeeper Position Summary The Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining the exterior grounds of Stone Mountain Lodge to ensure the property is clean, safe, attractive, and well maintained for our guests and events. This position performs routine landscaping, irrigation, grounds maintenance, and property upkeep and reports directly to the Property Manager. Daily & Routine Responsibilities Walk the property regularly to pick up trash, branches, and debris and identify maintenance or safety concerns. Mow, edge, and trim lawn areas according to the established maintenance schedule. Weed and maintain flower beds, walkways, driveways, landscaped areas, and other exterior spaces. Monitor watering needs and ensure sprinklers and drip irrigation systems are operating properly. Trim trees, shrubs, hedges, and other landscaping as needed. Keep walkways, patios, and other guest areas clean and presentable. Maintain all exterior areas, including the Event Area, Garden Area, Picnic Area, Lodge Grounds, Pool Area, Cabin Areas, and property entrances. Plant and maintain flowers, plants, and other landscaping as directed. Fertilize lawns and landscaped areas as directed by the Property Manager. Monitor water flow through the property's ditch, river, and pond areas and report any concerns. Keep landscaping tools and equipment clean, organized, and in good working condition. Report damaged or malfunctioning equipment promptly. Communicate property conditions, maintenance concerns, irrigation issues, and needed repairs to the Property Manager. Events & Additional Projects Assist with setup and grounds preparation for weddings, events, and other property functions. Help restore and prepare outdoor areas following events. Complete seasonal maintenance and other property projects as assigned by the Property Manager. Position Expectations The Groundskeeper should be dependable, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently. Because the condition of the grounds directly affects the guest experience, attention to cleanliness, safety, and overall property appearance is essential.

Pay:

$16.00 - $17.50 per hour
