Yard Assistant / Grounds Maintenance Candlewood East Marina is looking for a motivated, dependable person to join our team as a Part-Time Yard Assistant / Grounds Maintenance team member. This is a great opportunity for a college student looking for part-time work that can fit around a class schedule . The position offers a consistent Monday, Wednesday, and Friday schedule, with the potential for additional hours on Tuesdays and Saturdays. This position works closely with our Yard Operators to help keep the marina yard running efficiently and safely. The role includes assisting with the movement and organization of boats and trailers, helping with general yard operations, and maintaining the marina grounds and property. We're looking for someone who is reliable, safety-conscious, willing to learn, and takes pride in doing quality work. What You'll Do Assist the Yard Operators with moving boats and trailers throughout the marinagrounds Assist with launching and retrieving customer boats Help position, organize, and move boats and trailers around the property Assist with transporting boats to and from service areas and bays Help keep the marina yard clean, organized, and safe Assist with general yard and property maintenance Help with general lifting, moving, cleaning, and outdoor labor Work safely around boats, trailers, vehicles, machinery, and customers Follow the direction of the Yard Operators and other members of the management team Assist with other boat yard-related tasks as needed What We're Looking For We're looking for the right person more than the perfect résumé. We're willing to train the right person who is dependable, safety-conscious, and willing to learn. Experience operating boats, towing trailers, or working around marina equipment is aplus. Schedule This is a part-time position , making it a good fit for a college student looking to work around their class schedule. Applicants must be available to work Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. There may also be opportunities for additional hours on Tuesday and Saturday , particularly during the busy boating season. We understand that college schedules can vary, so we're looking for someone who can consistently commit to their required days while balancing their classes and other responsibilities.
