The Position The Groundsman is an important part of every successful tree operation. You will work directly with our Foreman and tree crews to keep jobs running safely, efficiently, and professionally. This is a hands-on position with opportunities to learn virtually every aspect of professional tree care. Responsibilities Assist the Foreman and tree crew with daily tree care operations. Safely manage brush, logs, and debris on the ground. Feed and operate chippers safely under the direction of the crew. Assist with rigging and lowering operations. Set up and maintain safe work zones. Assist with tree removals, pruning, storm cleanup, and other tree care operations. Help load and organize logs, brush, and equipment. Assist with operation and care of equipment such as: Chippers Stump grinders Mini skid steers Grapple equipment Excavators Log trucks Other tree care equipment Maintain and organize tools and equipment. Keep jobsites clean, safe, and professional. Follow directions from the Foreman and work effectively as part of a team. Follow all company safety procedures and industry best practices. Represent the company professionally with customers and the public. Who We're Looking For Prior tree experience is helpful but not required for the right person. We're looking for someone who is: Hard-working and dependable. Willing to work outdoors in all types of weather. Physically capable of performing demanding outdoor work. Safety-minded and willing to learn. Comfortable working at a fast pace. A team player who takes direction well. Self-motivated and willing to take initiative. Respectful of coworkers, customers, and equipment. Interested in learning the professional tree care industry. Looking for an opportunity to grow with a company . Pay:
$22.00 - $29.84 per hour
