Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Golf Course Maintenance Staff member and be a vital part of creating a pristine, well-maintained golfing environment. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for ensuring the golf course remains beautiful, safe, and playable by performing landscape maintenance, turf care, and equipment upkeep. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help deliver an exceptional experience for golfers while maintaining the course's aesthetic appeal. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in horticulture, landscaping, and turf management within a vibrant outdoor setting. Duties Maintain the health and appearance of the golf course turf through mowing, edging, aerating, and fertilizing. Operate power tools such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other landscaping equipment safely and efficiently. Assist with irrigation system setup, repairs, and adjustments to ensure optimal watering schedules. Perform landscape maintenance tasks including planting, pruning trees and shrubs, and weed control to enhance course aesthetics. Conduct regular inspections of the course for hazards or damage and perform necessary repairs or report issues promptly. Support general gardening efforts by watering plants, applying mulch, and maintaining flower beds. Use hand tools like shovels, rakes, and pruners for detailed landscaping work and course improvements. Skills Experience with lawn care practices including mowing, fertilizing, aerating, and pest control. Ability to operate power tools safely while adhering to safety protocols. Strong understanding of horticulture principles related to gardening and landscaping. Familiarity with hand tools used in gardening and land management tasks. Excellent attention to detail for inspecting course conditions and performing precise maintenance work. Good physical stamina for outdoor work in various weather conditions; ability to stand, bend, lift, and walk extensively.
