In this role, you will be actively involved in maintaining lawns, gardens, and grounds by operating a variety of tools and equipment. Responsibilities Operate lawn mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other power tools to maintain lawns and landscaped areas efficiently and safely Perform landscaping tasks including planting, pruning, edging, and mulching to enhance the aesthetic appeal of outdoor spaces Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and troubleshoot issues as needed Identify various plants, trees, and shrubs to support healthy growth and landscape design Apply pesticides and fertilizers following safety protocols to protect plants from pests and diseases Maintain grounds by removing debris, trimming trees and bushes, and performing snow plowing during winter months when necessary Follow all safety procedures diligently while handling equipment and chemicals to ensure a safe work environment for yourself and teammates Skills Mechanical knowledge of landscaping equipment and power tools for proper operation and maintenance Experience with landscape maintenance, gardening, tree care, and hardscape installation or repair Ability to identify different plant species and understand basic horticulture principles Knowledge of pesticide management practices aligned with safety standards Familiarity with irrigation systems, including troubleshooting and repairs Outdoor work experience demonstrating stamina, reliability, and attention to detail Strong understanding of safety protocols related to grounds maintenance equipment operation This position is ideal for individuals passionate about outdoor work who want to build their expertise in groundskeeping while contributing to beautiful landscapes.
