Position Summary We are looking for a dependable, customer-focused Retail Store Associate to assist customers, maintain healthy and attractive plant inventory, operate the point-of-sale system, and keep the retail store clean, organized, and well merchandised.

Responsibilities & Knowledge of Plants:

Basic knowledge of plants, including identification, care, watering, and maintenance.

Plant Products:

Knowledge of fertilizers, insecticides, herbicides, fungicides, and their proper use.

Customer Service:

Greet customers warmly, answer questions, and provide helpful recommendations regarding plants and plant care.

Point of Sale:

Experience with Point of Sale and the ability to accurately operate a cash register.

Plant Care:

Care for, water, maintain, and monitor retail plant inventory.

Plant Production:

Repot and propagate plants as needed.

Store Operations:

Assist with opening and closing the store.

Telephone Skills:

Answer incoming calls professionally and demonstrate good phone etiquette.

Multitasking:

Ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently in a busy retail environment.

Store Appearance:

Keep the store clean, neat, organized, and presentable at all times.

Merchandising:

Stock, organize, price, and merchandise retail products to maintain an attractive shopping environment.

Teamwork:

Work cooperatively with other team members and contribute to a positive work environment.
