L&S Enterprises, LLC is a state-certified electrical contracting firm specializing in Lighting Retrofit, and Exterior and Roadway Lighting services. The Lighting Division specializes in designing and implementing energy-efficient lighting and lighting control systems. The Utility Division specializes in regional street light LED conversions, new residential development street light pole installations, and an extensive variety of exterior fixture replacements. The Electrical Construction Safety Manager oversees and enforces health and safety programs specifically tailored to electrical construction, ensuring compliance with OSHA and
NFPA 70E
standards to protect workers. This role acts as the subject matter expert on electrical compliance, coordinates training, and works with project teams to eliminate hazards before work begins. Job duties will vary, but could include:
Compliance & Regulations:
Ensure all daily operations and job sites comply with OSHA 1926, National Electric Code (NEC), and
NFPA 70E
(Electrical Safety in the Workplace) standards.
Hazard Mitigation:
Lead Arc Flash analyses, review Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols, and perform Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs).
Inspections & Audits:
Conduct regular field safety observations, equipment audits, and job site walkthroughs to identify unsafe acts or conditions.
Training & Education:
Deliver safety orientations, specialized
NFPA 70E
training, and regular toolbox talks for field personnel.
Incident Investigation:
Lead investigations for accidents, injuries, or near-misses, and develop corrective action plans to prevent recurrence The position may require work to be performed on elevated platforms including ladders, scaffolding, scissor lifts, and/or other mechanized equipment.
FLSA Classification:
Exempt Candidate must be okay with weekly, overnight travel throughout the entire state of Florida.
Qualifications:
3 to 5+ years of dedicated construction safety experience, with a strong focus on high and low-voltage electrical construction. A high school diploma is required; a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health, Safety, Engineering, or Construction Management is preferred. A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required. OSHA 30 Certification (Construction) is required, OSHA 500 or 510 is preferred. NFPA 70E/Arc Flash certification is required. CPR/First-Aid/AED certification is required. Aerial Platform certification is preferred. Forklift/Telehandler Operator certification is preferred. Credentials like CHST (Construction Health and Safety Technician) or CSP (Certified Safety Professional) are a major asset. JLA Badge is preferred. All individuals hired into this role must undergo a background check and meet Level 2 screening requirements pursuant to Florida State Statute 1012.32 prior to starting.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform work in the field, in all weather conditions, throughout the service territory. Ability to move/lift objects that range from 50-100 pounds or more regularly. Must be able to remain in a stationary position at least 50% of the time. Ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. Must be able to wear personal protective (PPE) gear.
