Overview Maintenance/Groundskeeper

We are seeking a dedicated and responsible individual to join our team as a Maintenance/Groundskeeper for our thriving mobile home parks. This position offers 25-30 hours per week, for an experienced person. If you enjoy working outdoors and take pride in keeping communal spaces clean and well-maintained, this is the perfect opportunity for you.

Responsibilities:

• This position is mainly in the Deland properties, but Will also need to travel once a week to Ocala and Leesburg to pick up grounds or for any issues. If you are not willing to travel to the other properties, PLEASE DO NOT apply. No company vehicle or gas is provided. Must have a reliable vehicle that can carry materials when going to HD or Lowes, own tools and drivers license.

• Must have maintenance/grounds experience and have own tools.
• Maintain the dumpster area: Ensure that the dumpster area is clean, organized, and free from debris.
• Garbage pickup: Conduct regular patrols around the community to collect and dispose of any litter or trash. Keep the streets, sidewalks, and common areas clean and presentable at all times.
• Alert property manager: Act as the eyes and ears of the community by promptly reporting any maintenance, safety, or security issues to the property manager. This includes identifying potential hazards, damage to property, leaks, or any other concerns that may arise.
• Must be able to trash out vacant homes when they become available
• Must be able to change locks, especially during evictions.

• Able to troubleshoot and diagnose and fix any maintenance issues.

Ability to work independently

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in maintenance/groundskeeping is preferred
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively report any issues to the property manager.
• Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently to complete assigned tasks.
• Physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labor, including lifting and carrying heavy objects if necessary.
