Job Summary Responsibilities Climb trees using proper arborist rigging techniques to prune, trim, or remove limbs safely and efficiently Operate bucket trucks and other aerial lift equipment to access high branches or difficult-to-reach areas Assist with tree removal projects by rigging large limbs or entire trees for safe descent and disposal Support ground operations by handling tools such as chainsaws, pruning shears, and rigging gear with precision Conduct plant care activities including pruning, shaping, and general tree maintenance to promote healthy growth Follow strict safety protocols during all climbing and ground tasks to prevent accidents and ensure team safety Maintain detailed records of work performed, including tree conditions, treatments applied, and safety checks Requirements Proven outdoor work experience with a focus on horticulture, landscaping, or arboriculture practices Ability to climb trees safely using arborist rigging techniques and operate aerial lift equipment like bucket trucks Knowledge of tree care practices such as pruning, trimming, tree removal, and plant health assessment Familiarity with the use of chainsaws and other power tools for tree maintenance tasks Strong understanding of safety protocols related to climbing and operating aerial lifts or rigging gear Experience working with GIS (Geographic Information Systems) is a plus for site mapping and planning purposes Growing experience in horticulture or dendrology (study of trees) is highly desirable Excellent physical condition with the ability to perform physically demanding outdoor tasks in various weather conditions This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to advance their skills in arboriculture while making a tangible impact on community landscapes.
