About Us Grove Tree Service & Landscaping has been caring for Miami-Dade's trees since 1981. We serve residential, HOA, and commercial/municipal clients across Coral Gables, South Miami, Pinecrest, Coconut Grove, and Miami Beach, with an ISA Certified Arborist on staff and a full fleet of bucket trucks, spider lifts, grapple loaders, chippers, and stump grinders. We're growing, and we need experienced crew members who take the work seriously. The Role We're hiring an experienced groundsman who already knows how to run a ground saw and a chipper safely and efficiently. This is not an entry-level position. You'll work alongside our climbers and operators to keep the job site safe, clean, and moving from start to finish. What You'll Do Run a chainsaw on the ground: bucking logs, limbing, and cutting brush down to size Feed and operate the chipper safely, following proper feeding and lockout practices Clear, drag, and haul brush, logs, and debris as the crew works overhead Set up and maintain drop zones and job site safety zones; stay alert to what's happening above Assist climbers with ropes, rigging, and lowering Load and unload equipment; perform basic daily checks on saws and the chipper Rake, blow, and leave every property cleaner than we found it Requirements Minimum 2 years of real tree service or landscaping experience (be ready to tell us where you worked) Hands-on experience operating a ground saw (chainsaw) safely Hands-on experience operating a brush chipper Valid driver's license Must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check Able to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly and work outdoors year-round in Miami heat Reliable, on time, and a team-first attitude Rigging experience Nice to Have Experience with a grapple truck, stump grinder, or skid steer Ability to tow a trailer or chipper Bilingual English/Spanish What We Offer $20-$24/hr based on experience Full-time, Monday-Friday (occasional Saturday or storm work) Paid time off Well-maintained, professional equipment Training from our ISA Certified Arborist and a clear path to climber or crew lead To Apply Apply on Indeed with a short summary of your tree/landscaping experience, including the equipment you've run.
