Position Overview:

As a Grounds Maintenance Crew Member, you will play a vital role in maintaining the landscape and playing surfaces of our golf resort to ensure an exceptional experience for our members and guests. You will work as part of a dedicated team to uphold the high standards of our grounds, ensuring they are safe, attractive, and well-maintained. This role is hands-on, fast-paced, and essential to the success of High Grove's pre-opening and ongoing operations. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a high-standard, team-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Shifts start daily between 5:00/6:00 am; weekends may be required. Attend pre-shifts and team meetings. Lawn Care - Mow, edge, fertilize, and aerate lawns to promote healthy growth and appearance. Prune shrubs, trees, and plants to enhance aesthetics and prevent overgrowth. Monitor and manage pests and weeds using safe and approved methods. Assist in the setup, maintenance, and repair of irrigation systems to ensure efficient water usage. Prepare and maintain the golf course, including tee boxes, fairways, greens, and bunkers, ensuring they are in optimal playing condition. Perform routine maintenance on equipment and tools, ensuring they are kept in good working order. Other duties as assigned. Follow safety protocols and regulations at all times to maintain a safe working environment for all team members. Work as part of a team, communicating effectively with colleagues and supervisors to meet maintenance goals and schedules. Maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate the needs of the service hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Physical Requirements:

Flexible and long hours are sometimes required. This position requires continuous standing and full mobility, enabling the employee to lift, carry, push, and pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds regularly, and occasionally up to 70 pounds. Good physical stamina and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Ability to withstand temperature variations, both hot and cold.

Qualifications:

You must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid driver's license. Previous experience in ground maintenance or landscaping is preferred but not required. Basic knowledge of gardening tools and equipment, and their maintenance. Ability to follow instructions, be detail-oriented, and possess a strong work ethic. Strong teamwork and communication skills. The ability to communicate in basic English.
