Duties Maintain athletic fields, golf courses, or landscaped areas through mowing, edging, fertilizing, and aerating to promote healthy turf growth. Operate ground maintenance equipment including lawnmowers, power tools, chainsaws, irrigation systems, and landscaping machinery safely and efficiently. Install, inspect, and repair irrigation systems to ensure optimal watering schedules and water conservation. Perform manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting of soil, mulch, or equipment to support landscaping projects. Conduct landscape maintenance activities including planting, pruning, weed control, pest management (including pesticide application), and gardening tasks. Maintain equipment through routine cleaning, inspection, lubrication, and minor repairs to ensure operational safety and longevity. Support groundskeeping operations by operating company vehicles for transportation of tools and materials across the site. Qualifications Proven experience with groundskeeping or landscape maintenance preferred; familiarity with athletic field or golf course groundskeeping is a plus. Knowledge of irrigation systems installation and repair as well as pesticide management practices. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, chainsaws, and other landscaping equipment with a strong emphasis on safety protocols such as power tool safety. Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely while maintaining physical endurance throughout the workday. Strong understanding of lawn care techniques including mowing schedules, fertilization routines, aeration procedures, and overall landscape maintenance. Valid driver's license with experience operating company vehicles or similar transport equipment preferred. Excellent attention to detail with the ability to follow safety guidelines consistently while working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
