In this role you will be responsible for maintaining the appearance and cleanliness of outdoor spaces to ensure a safe and welcoming environment. This involves a variety of landscaping, grounds maintenance, and light outdoor repair tasks, following instructions closely and documenting daily tasks. This assignment is perfect for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, outdoor activity, and making a tangible impact through their efforts. Responsibilities Maintain outdoor areas by mowing, edging, fertilizing and mulching to ensure optimal growth conditions. Operate equipment such as lawn mowers, trimmers, and leaf blowers safely and efficiently. Handle irrigation tasks when required to ensure adequate watering schedules. Perform live plant maintenance including planting, pruning, and weed control to enhance visual appeal. Conduct routine inspections of grounds to identify hazards or maintenance needs and address them promptly. Handle manual tasks involving lifting and handling of materials when necessary. Apply pesticides or herbicides following safety protocols to control pests and maintain healthy landscapes while adhering to application instructions. Requirements Prior experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or athletic field maintenance is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate. Knowledge of landscape maintenance practices and gardening tasks is advantageous. Ability to operate power tools safely including mowers, trimmers, leaf blowers, and other landscaping equipment. Physical stamina to perform manual handling tasks involving lifting and prolonged outdoor activity in various weather conditions. Familiarity with basic equipment maintenance routines to ensure tools and machinery are in good working order. Strong attention to safety protocols related to power tool use, pesticide application, and general groundskeeping procedures. Valid driver's license with reliable personal vehicle and basic tool equipment is a plus.
