Job Description
Landmark Christian School seeks an energetic, responsible Grounds and Landscaping worker. We believe that the role of a Christian school employee is to demonstrate through philosophy and lifestyle his or her personal relationship with Jesus Christ, a consistent reflection of Godly character, and a heart to meet the needs of others. Job Duties Cut lawns using push or riding mowers, weed eaters, trimmers, blowers and edgers around walkways, flower beds, parking lots and buildings Installs landscaping by planting flowers, grass, and shrubs Apply pesticide to rid grounds of pests such as ants, mosquitos, wasps, and ticks Cleans roof systems and gutters of debris Trim trees, shrubs and pull weeds as needed Perform minor repairs and maintenance procedures on equipment Rake, mulch, and prune landscaping beds as needed Periodically water plants and apply fertilizer Acts as contract monitor on all associated grounds contracts Notifies managers regarding the need for repairs on equipment Documents facilities and grounds maintenance requirements/maintains appropriate records of work performed in computerized maintenance database Operates heavy machinery such as skid steer and farm tractor Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned (i.e furniture moving, event setup) Apply safety practices such as operational risk management to all duties Requirements Attitude, behavior, and language around students, staff, and peers should reflect the mission and vision of Landmark Christian School Performs assigned tasks that provide school personnel, students, and the public with an environmentally safe, attractive, comfortable, clean and efficient place in which to work and conduct school activities Must be able to work at a fast pace for extended periods of time Must be able to lift 50 lbs Willing to work overtime and on weekends occasionally Must be flexible, self-motivated, thorough Must pass background check Must have reliable transportation Must have a valid GA driver's license Landmark Christian School offers medical and dental benefits and paid vacation and holidays based on time of service.
