This energetic position involves hands-on work in landscape maintenance, groundskeeping, and construction projects, ensuring that outdoor spaces are safe, functional, and visually appealing. You will work outdoors in various weather conditions, utilizing your skills to support landscape design, plant care, and hardscape installation. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your expertise in horticulture, equipment operation, and outdoor project execution while contributing to vibrant community spaces. Duties Assist in landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, planting, pruning, and watering to promote healthy growth and aesthetic appeal Operate grounds maintenance equipment such as power tools, lawn mowers, excavators, and irrigation systems safely and efficiently Support the installation of hardscape features like pathways, patios, retaining walls, and other construction elements Identify different plant species and assist with plant care routines; manage pest control using proper pesticide management techniques Conduct regular grounds inspections to ensure safety protocols are followed and report any hazards or maintenance needs Perform snow plowing and winter cleanup tasks during seasonal changes to keep outdoor areas accessible and safe Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition; adhere strictly to safety procedures at all times Experience Prior outdoor work experience or background in landscaping, gardening, or grounds maintenance preferred Familiarity with landscape maintenance practices including mowing, edging, pruning, and planting techniques Knowledge of horticulture principles and plant identification is highly advantageous Experience operating landscaping equipment such as power tools, irrigation systems, excavators, and snow plows is a plus Understanding of safety protocols related to outdoor work environments and equipment operation is essential Construction experience or familiarity with hardscape installation adds value to your application Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining a positive attitude Join us to help transform outdoor spaces into thriving landscapes!
