Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated Landscape Laborer to join our team and contribute to a variety of outdoor projects. This role involves hands-on work in landscape maintenance, construction, and gardening, providing an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in horticulture, landscaping, and outdoor craftsmanship. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a passion for outdoor work, and the ability to operate various tools and equipment safely and efficiently. Duties Assist with landscape maintenance including mowing, edging, pruning, and planting Operate hand tools, power tools, and landscaping equipment such as excavators and snow plows Perform lawn care tasks including fertilizing, aerating, and weed control Maintain hardscape features like patios, walkways, and retaining walls Support tree care activities such as trimming, pruning, and planting Install irrigation systems and perform regular system maintenance Conduct general gardening tasks to promote healthy plant growth Assist with construction projects related to landscape installation or renovation Perform snow plowing during winter months to ensure safety and accessibility Maintain cleanliness of work areas and ensure safety protocols are followed at all times Skills Mechanical knowledge related to landscaping equipment and tools Experience with lawn care, landscape maintenance, and gardening practices Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery such as excavators Knowledge of tree care including trimming and pruning techniques Understanding of irrigation systems installation and maintenance Ability to operate snow plows for winter storm response Strong knowledge of horticulture principles and landscape design basics Construction skills related to hardscape installation and general outdoor projects Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various weather conditions Good physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual labor for extended periods This position offers an engaging environment for those passionate about outdoor work and landscape craftsmanship.
