Duties Assist arborists with tree removal, pruning, trimming, and planting projects using appropriate rigging techniques and tools Operate bucket trucks safely to access elevated areas of trees for pruning or inspection Support rigging operations by setting up and managing ropes, pulleys, and other equipment for controlled tree work Maintain safety protocols during all outdoor activities, including the use of chainsaws and other power tools Conduct landscape maintenance tasks such as lawn care, planting, and general site cleanup to ensure a tidy work environment Use GIS (Geographic Information Systems) tools to assist with mapping and documenting tree locations and health status Support the team in applying arborist rigging techniques for complex tree removals or pruning projects Requirements Prior outdoor work experience or a strong interest in horticulture, landscaping, or arboriculture Familiarity with tree care practices including pruning, trimming, and removal techniques Ability to operate equipment such as bucket trucks and chainsaws safely and effectively Knowledge of safety protocols related to outdoor work environments and power tool usage Basic understanding of plant biology, dendrology (study of trees), or landscape maintenance preferred Willingness to learn arborist rigging techniques and grow expertise in tree care services Strong physical stamina for outdoor labor in various weather conditions This role offers an exciting pathway into the world of professional tree care and landscape maintenance.
