Job Description
Tree Service Groundsman Bebout Tree Service, LLC is looking for a dependable, hard-working Tree Service Groundsman to join our crew. We are a growing local tree company serving Mahomet, Champaign, Fisher, Gibson City, and surrounding areas. This is a hands-on, physically demanding outdoor position. We're looking for someone who takes pride in working hard, shows up on time, works safely, and wants to be part of a small company where good employees are valued. Responsibilities Drag and stack brush, limbs, and logs Feed brush into a wood chipper safely Assist climbers and bucket operators from the ground Operate chainsaws and other tree-service equipment as experience allows Run ropes and assist with lowering limbs and wood Load and unload equipment and materials Assist with jobsite setup and cleanup Rake and clean properties when jobs are completed Help maintain trucks, trailers, chippers, saws, and other equipment Follow company safety procedures and wear required PPE Communicate and work well with the rest of the crew Qualifications Must be 18 years or older Must be dependable and able to show up on time Must be able to perform strenuous physical work throughout the day Comfortable working outdoors in heat, cold, and changing weather conditions Able to lift and move heavy logs, brush, equipment, and materials Able to follow directions and work safely around chainsaws, chippers, ropes, falling limbs, and heavy equipment Must have reliable transportation to work Tree-service, landscaping, construction, farming, or other outdoor labor experience is a plus Chainsaw, chipper, skid-steer, or mini-skid experience is a plus Tree-service experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person who is dependable and willing to learn What We're Looking For We aren't expecting everyone to know everything on their first day. We're looking for someone with a good work ethic who can take direction, learn, and become a dependable part of the crew. There is room to learn additional skills and take on more responsibility as you gain experience.
