Full Job Description Principal Function:
The Grounds Crew position is responsible for performing gardening, landscaping, snow removal and grounds maintenance helping to provide a safe, clean and aesthetically appealing environment. Provides maintenance of irrigation systems, pathways and paved surfaces.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Duties include, but are not limited to: Maintains physical condition and appearance of all non-historic public areas Prunes trees and hedges, mows lawn, removes weeds, edges walkways and maintains exterior areas Mixes and applies fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides and other chemicals following manufacturer's directions and departmental guidelines Prepares soil for planting and maintains beds and grass around buildings Maintains flowers and plants in public gardens and all grounds. Helps perform routine road and parking lot maintenance and repair to include snow removal from parking and pedestrian areas Identifies and assists with exterior repairs Provides assistance as needed in other areas ofConner Prairie Supervisory Responsibilities:
