Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic grounds maintenance team as a Lawn Care Worker and bring outdoor spaces to life! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for maintaining beautiful lawns, landscapes, and outdoor environments through hands-on work with various tools and equipment. Your efforts will help create inviting, well-kept outdoor spaces that enhance the beauty and safety of our community. This position offers a chance to develop your skills in landscaping, horticulture, and groundskeeping while working outdoors in a fast-paced, rewarding environment. Responsibilities Operate lawn mowers, trimmers, power tools, and landscaping equipment safely and efficiently to maintain lawns, gardens, and hardscape features. Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, edging, pruning trees and shrubs, planting flowers, and mulching beds. Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and troubleshoot issues as needed. Identify various plants, trees, and shrubs to ensure proper care and health of landscape features. Apply pesticides or fertilizers following safety protocols to protect plants and maintain pest-free environments. Conduct snow plowing or removal during winter months to keep outdoor areas accessible and safe. Follow all safety procedures diligently while working outdoors with power tools, hand tools, and heavy equipment. Qualifications Prior outdoor work experience or background in grounds maintenance or landscaping is preferred. Mechanical knowledge related to operating lawn care machinery and groundskeeping equipment. Familiarity with plant identification, horticulture principles, and landscape design basics. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, irrigation systems, and hardscape equipment safely. Knowledge of pesticide management practices and safety protocols is a plus. Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform tasks efficiently in various weather conditions. Excellent physical stamina for standing, walking, lifting heavy objects, and performing manual labor throughout the day.
