$17-$25 Duties Operate hand tools, power tools, and groundskeeping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and irrigation systems to maintain lawns, gardens, and hardscape features. Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mulching, trimming, weeding, pruning, planting, and rock to keep outdoor spaces healthy and visually appealing. Assist with tree trimming, shrub care, planting new greenery, and seasonal clean-up activities such as leaf removal and snow plowing. Identify various plants, trees, and shrubs to ensure proper care; apply pesticides or fertilizers following safety protocols when needed. Follow safety procedures diligently during all tasks to prevent accidents or injuries; report hazards or equipment issues promptly. Support the installation of hardscape features like pathways or retaining walls as needed for landscape enhancement projects. Experience Prior outdoor work experience or familiarity with groundskeeping tasks is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right motivated candidate. Basic mechanical knowledge helps in operating and maintaining landscaping equipment effectively. Knowledge of horticulture principles including plant identification and landscape maintenance techniques is advantageous. Experience with pesticide management, irrigation systems, or snow plowing is a plus but not mandatory. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while adhering to safety protocols is essential.
