The Club at Chatham Hills is seeking a motivated individual with a strong work ethic and love of outdoors to be part of our fantastic grounds team. Essential responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following: Mow, edge along bulk heads and native Precision edge and rake sand traps; hand rake sand traps Fix divots on fairways and practice tee Prune trees Weed beds Plant native vegetation Clean debris from lakes Safely operate mechanical equipment as needed, to include sod cutter, weed eat wedges and other light or heavy equipment as directed Perform basic preventive maintenance on equipment as directed by mechanic or assistant, to include replacing gas and daily cleaning; reporting equipment problems or failures and properly storing equipment Returns all equipment to the designated location at the maintenance facility; and cleans the maintenance areas Maintain bunkers (weed eater, trim and edge) Trim sprinklers Each associate is expected to carry out, within their capabilities, all reasonable requests by management Physical requirements: 1) Ability to work in extreme temperatures. 2) Ability to continually bend, push, pull, stoop, kneel, and reach. 3) Ability to lift minimum of 50 lbs. 4) Knowledge of methods and materials used in grounds and landscape area construction/maintenance work. 5) Ability to apply to insecticides, herbicides and pesticides and cleaning chemicals. 6) Ability to properly operate assigned equipment. 7) Understand and follow oral and written instructions. 8) Ability to interact effectively with others and maintain a cooperative working relationship with other employees and the public. 9) Ability to have prolonged periods of standing and/or walking.
