Job Description
The Grounds Technician is assigned to maintain the grounds, roads, walkways and outside athletic facilities; move furniture and supplies; and transport materials between the off-campus sites. The position is under the supervision of the Roads and Grounds Supervisor. A. Maintain a good working relationship. B. Knowledge of horticulture, welding and concrete work. C. Willingness to work irregular hours under extreme conditions. D. Must be clean and neat. E. Ability to learn grounds work or previous experience. F. Valid Kansas driver's license. G. Ability to lift 75 pounds. H. Knowledge of grounds equipment operation. I. Injury Prevention - Ability to identify unsafe working conditions. J. Knowledge in the maintenance, repair, and care of artificial turf.
