Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Groundsman specializing in Tree Work, where you'll play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing the health, safety, and beauty of our outdoor landscapes. This position offers the opportunity to work outdoors in a fast-paced environment, supporting arborists and landscape professionals with essential tree care and maintenance tasks. Your hands-on skills will contribute directly to safe and effective tree removal, pruning, and landscape upkeep, ensuring our outdoor spaces thrive. Responsibilities Assist with tree removal, pruning, and trimming using proper arborist rigging techniques and tools such as chainsaws and bucket trucks Support arborists in rigging operations to safely lower large branches or trees during removal or maintenance projects Operate bucket trucks and other equipment safely to access high or hard-to-reach areas of trees and landscapes Perform plant pruning care, tree trimming, and general landscape maintenance to promote healthy growth and aesthetic appeal Maintain safety protocols at all times, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to industry safety standards Conduct outdoor work activities such as lawn care, landscape maintenance, and gardening tasks to support overall site appearance Assist with tree care assessments by observing plant health, identifying issues related to horticulture or dendrology (the study of trees), and reporting findings Skills Experience working outdoors in landscaping, horticulture, or tree care environments with growing knowledge of plant health and landscape practices Ability to drive work truck with crew is a plus. Skilled in operating wood chipper, chainsaws, mini skid steer, and stump grinder. Knowledge of arborist rigging techniques for safe tree removal and limb lowering operations Familiarity with tree removal procedures, pruning techniques, and general tree care practices Ability to follow safety protocols meticulously while working at heights or with heavy equipment Strong understanding of landscaping principles including lawn care, landscape maintenance, planting, and growing experience This role offers an exciting opportunity for motivated individuals passionate about outdoor work, tree health, and landscape aesthetics.
