Landscape Crew Member BlueOak Outdoor - Tonganoxie, KS Full-Time | $18-$24 per hour, based on experience BlueOak Outdoor is hiring a dependable Landscape Crew Member to join our growing landscape division. This is a hands-on outdoor position focused on landscape installation and property improvements for residential and commercial customers throughout the greater Kansas City area. We are looking for someone who works hard, follows instructions, takes pride in quality work, and wants an opportunity to develop professional landscaping and equipment-operation skills. Responsibilities Install plants, shrubs, trees, mulch, decorative rock, and landscape edging Prepare and renovate landscape beds Assist with sod installation, seeding, grading, and soil preparation Install and repair drainage systems, including buried downspout lines and French drains Assist with retaining walls, patios, and other hardscape projects Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment Operate hand tools and landscape equipment safely Assist with skid-steer and mini-skid-steer work when properly trained Follow project plans and directions from the landscape foreman Maintain clean, safe, and organized job sites Protect customers' property, landscaping, utilities, and irrigation systems Perform final cleanup before leaving each job Help maintain company vehicles, trailers, tools, and equipment Assist with seasonal services, including fall cleanup, holiday lighting, and snow removal Qualifications Landscaping, construction, hardscaping, drainage, or outdoor labor experience is preferred Willingness to learn if landscaping experience is limited Dependable attendance and ability to arrive on time Ability to follow directions and work effectively with a crew Positive attitude and professional behavior around customers Ability to work outdoors in heat, cold, rain, and changing weather Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record are preferred Experience operating landscape equipment is a plus Bilingual English and Spanish is helpful but not required What We Offer $18-$23 per hour, based on experience and demonstrated skills Full-time, primarily Monday-through-Friday work Overtime opportunities during busy seasons Performance-based raises and advancement opportunities Training in landscape installation, drainage, hardscaping, and equipment operation Opportunity to advance into crew lead, landscape technician, or foreman positions Company-provided uniforms A growing locally owned company with residential and commercial customers Schedule Full-time Primarily Monday through Friday Some Saturdays and extended hours may be required during peak seasons Work begins at our Tonganoxie, Kansas location Start times may vary depending on weather and project schedules How to Apply Please submit your résumé or a brief description of your landscaping, construction, equipment, or outdoor work experience.
