This position combines outdoor grounds maintenance with general custodial support throughout the year. Hours will be 6am-2:30pm, M-F. Schedule may occasionally vary based on facility needs and events. $13.50/hr

Grounds Maintenance /
Custodial Specialist Job Responsibilities:
Mow, trim, edge, weed, and maintain lawns, landscaped areas, and turf
Perform seasonal tasks including leaf removal, snow removal, pruning, and soil maintenance
Collect and dispose of trash and empty outdoor receptacles
Operate and maintain commercial lawn and grounds equipment
Trim trees, prune shrubs, and remove branches and other debris
Perform occasional manual digging and other physical labor using hand tools
Assist with custodial duties such as vacuuming, cleaning restrooms, scrubbing and buffing floors, and general facility upkeep
Provide support for occasional weekend events or schedule changes as needed
Keep equipment, tools, and supplies clean, secure, and in proper working condition
Follow established safety procedures and complete assigned work efficiently
Maintain accurate time and maintenance records
Attend required meetings, training, and professional development activities
Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:

Custodial Specialist Job Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous groundskeeping, landscaping, custodial, or facilities maintenance experience preferred
Familiarity with mowing, trimming, fertilizing, weed control, pruning, snow removal, and related grounds care is a plus
Comfortable operating commercial mowers and other lawn maintenance equipment
Able to work independently with limited supervision
Able to work outdoors in varying weather and temperatures
Comfortable performing work that may involve heights
Knowledge of basic equipment safety and maintenance practices
Dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work well with others
Good attendance and a professional approach to the job are required
