Lawn Care & Landscaping Crew Member We are looking for a dependable, hardworking Lawn Care & Landscaping Crew Member to join our growing team. We provide professional lawn care, landscaping, property maintenance, and outdoor improvement services throughout Georgetown and Central Kentucky. Our work ranges from routine lawn maintenance to landscape installations, drainage, grading, hardscaping, and other property improvement projects. We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, shows up ready to work, and wants the opportunity to learn and grow with a company that is continuing to expand. This is not just a seasonal mowing position. We are looking for team members interested in developing their skills, taking on additional responsibility, and potentially advancing into Crew Leader and other leadership positions as our company grows. Job Duties & Responsibilities As a Lawn Care & Landscaping Crew Member, your responsibilities may include: Commercial and residential lawn mowing Operating commercial stand-on and walk-behind mowers String trimming, edging, and blowing Landscape bed cleanup and maintenance Mulch and decorative rock installation Shrub and small tree trimming Plant and landscape installation Sod installation, seeding, and lawn renovation Core aeration and overseeding Drainage and grading projects French drain and underground downspout installation Paver, retaining wall, and other hardscape installation Brush and vegetation clearing Loading and unloading equipment and materials Maintaining clean and organized trucks, trailers, equipment, and jobsites Performing basic daily equipment inspections and maintenance Following company safety procedures and job instructions Communicating professionally with crew leaders, coworkers, and customers Completing work efficiently while maintaining Akers Lawn Care & Landscaping quality standards What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who: Is dependable and consistently arrives to work on time Has a strong work ethic and positive attitude Can work effectively as part of a team Takes pride in doing quality work Can follow directions and learn new skills Is comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions Can perform physically demanding work throughout the workday Treats customers, coworkers, equipment, and customer property with respect Understands that efficiency and quality are both important Can safely operate or learn to operate professional lawn and landscape equipment Is willing to work in different areas of lawn care and landscaping rather than performing only one type of work Experience Previous lawn care, landscaping, construction, equipment operation, or other outdoor work experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person . Experience operating commercial mowers, string trimmers, blowers, mini skid steers, excavators, tractors, or similar equipment is a plus. Requirements Valid driver's license preferred Reliable transportation to work Ability to safely lift and carry approximately 50 lbs or more Ability to work outdoors for extended periods Ability to safely perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, walking, digging, and carrying materials Dependable attendance and punctuality Ability to follow safety procedures and company policies Ability to work independently and as part of a crew Opportunity for Advancement Akers Lawn Care & Landscaping is building a team for long-term growth.
