Job Description

Job Summary
  • The role of this position is to supervise and coordinate activities of production workers including production areas and other related duties concerning the production of company products.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Direct and coordinate all production activities in the production department to ensure that the production schedule priorities are maintained and being followed.
  • Help to properly install, monitor, cleaning and remove auxiliary equipment to injection molding machines as needed by production scheduling or Process Engineering.
  • Diagnose production problems and make proper adjustments. Following up to ensure that desired results are obtained.
  • Produce a high-volume of high quality injected parts, in a production setting.
  • Making sure all machine work areas are properly maintained according to the specific 5S requirements.
  • Assist other shifts to cover for vacations and/or absenteeism when needed.
  • Effectively communicate daily machine concerns or issues with the other shifts and required management personnel during shift change.
  • Communicate any repair or malfunction of equipment or tooling to the proper support department
  • Responsible for monitoring, tracking, and reporting all machine data as required.
  • Provide a Customer Service attitude when interacting with internal and external customers while accomplishing work, production and achieving quality standards.
  • Participate in continuous process improvement efforts to reduce scrape, cycle times, improve efficiency and eliminate waste within the production environment.
  • Ensure that all assigned personnel complete and submit checklists as required.
  • Ensure subordinates are properly trained, referring to approved checklists, procedures and job description.
  • Review staff performance by using checklists and production data. Serve as coach to assigned personnel with the objective to continuously improve their job performance.
  • Other duties may be required insuring that Diversity-Vuteq meets and exceeds our customer expectations and needs.
Job QualificationsEducation
  • Two year college or technical school; or 3 - 5 years related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous production and injection molding experience required unless specifically waived by the Plant Manager based on work experience and demonstrated ability.
  • Must have the ability to plan, organize, communicate, and motivate employees.
Must be able to prioritize own workday schedule.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.); or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong leadership skills, excellent verbal and written communication and organization skills
  • Ability to communicate professionally with people at all levels of the organization and external contacts
  • Solid decision making skillsComputer Skills

Language Skills
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as; safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Mathematical Skills
  • The ability to understand and use the appropriate trade calculation formulas and apply fundamentals of mechanics, material strengths, power, torque and ratios as apply to the content of essential responsibilities.
Reasoning Abilities
  • Show ability to apply technical knowledge and common sense to troubleshoot problem areas.
Ability to quickly assess breakdowns, emergency situations, and direct the appropriate resources to resolve in a safe and timely manner. Review and assess, and communicate suggestions for improvements.

Work Environment
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is locating in an office/plant environment and may be exposed to regularly to moving mechanical parts and moderate noise level.

Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Supervises Team Members in the Production Department.
  • Carries out management responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
