Position Information Title Work Study Grounds Maintenance Assistant

Position Description The Grounds Maintenance Assistant position will assist with the day to day activities involved in grounds maintenance including but not limited to:

sweeping

raking

weeding

picking up litter

weed whacking

other duties as assigned Please note: This position requires driving and therefore must comply with all University Vehicle Policies and Procedures.

REQUIREMENTS

• Must be a Bridgewater State University undergraduate student registered for a minimum of six credits for the Fall 2026 semester.
• Must have Work Study award in your financial aid package
• Must be (18) years of age or older.
• Must hold a current and valid driver's license and meet all requirements to operate a motor vehicle in the state of Massachusetts.
• Must have held a motor vehicle operator's license for one year.
• Must have a reputable and clean driving record to be considered for the position.

Must complete driver training provided by the University, to include pre-trip/post-trip inspection of the vehicle, defensive driver training, proper vehicle operating procedures, and review of accident/incident procedures.. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge and skill in landscaping and landscaping tools helpful, but not required. Physical Demands May work in extreme heat or cold temperatures.
